Popular Posts

You will need to install and activate the Rishi Companion plugin in order to use the Popular Posts block.

The Popular Posts block displays the most popular posts on the user’s website based on either the view count or the number of comments received by a particular post.

Visitors can have direct reach to the articles that other readers have already found helpful. This feature in a website can further help increase user engagement, conversions, and sales.

How to add the Popular Posts block? #

  • Visit Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
  • Inside the Sidebar dropdown option, click on the Add block “+” icon.
  • Search for Rishi – Popular Posts and click on the block to add it.
  • The block will be added to the sidebar which you can further configure via the provided Block Settings.

Block Settings #

The following is the list of block settings provided to configure the Popular Posts block.

Title: You can enter the title for the block added here.

Number of Posts: Select the number of posts you want to display.

Show Posts Based on: Select whether you want to display the popular posts based on the view count or based on the number of comments.

Featured Image: Enable this option to display the featured image of the posts being displayed.

Post Date: Enable this option to display the date when the respective posts were published.

Views Count: Enable this option to display the number of views of the respective posts. This option is only visible when the list of posts is shown based on the number of views.

Comments Count: Enable this option to display the number of comments on the respective posts. This option is only visible when the list of posts is shown based on the number of comments.

Open in New Tab: Enable the option to open the post links in the new tab.

Layout: Select your preferred layout for the Popular Posts block.
