The Cookies Consent is a free extension provided by the Rishi Companion plugin. The main use of this extension is to help your site comply with the GDPR regulations and inform your visitors that the site is collecting their cookies.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in the European Union (EU). The Regulation applies regardless of where websites are based and to all sites that attract European visitors. This means that if you are running a WordPress website, and some of your users reside in the EU, the GDPR technically applies to you.
