Fix for – The PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) Error

The PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) Error can be caused by either of the following reasons:

  1. There’s a problem with the zip file or its format.
  2. WordPress doesn’t have enough memory on the web server to unzip and upload the contents of the zip file

It’s possible that the plugin zip file got corrupted when it was downloaded. Try downloading it from your account on our store and install (or update manually).

If the error persists even after trying to install the zip manually, then it may mean that there’s not enough storage space on your web server for WordPress to be able to unzip and upload the contents of the file. To confirm this, try uploading media files or plugins to your site. If you’re not able to upload large files, then storage space is likely the issue.

You can contact your hosting service provider to increase your storage capacity which eventually helps fix this issue.
