How to Configure Notification Bar?

The Notification Bar is a premium extension provided by the Rishi Pro plugin that allows you to display status information of any particular event or offer or highlight any other helpful piece of information for your site visitors.

Activating the Notification Bar Extension #

You can access the Notification Bar Extension via WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Rishi Theme > Extensions > Pro Extensions. Then activate the toggle to get the Notification Bar extension to work.

Configuring Notification Bar Settings #

You can configure the Notification Bar Settings for your website via Appearance > Customize >Notification Bar.

General Setting #

The following are the different settings provided under the General Settings tab:

Show Notification Bar: You need to enable this option to display the notification bar on your website.

Layout: Choose the layout for Notification bar.

Timeout Layout: You can choose your preferred timeout layout here.

Description: Enter the notification message here.

Container Width: Select the width value for the notification bar container.

Location: Choose to display the notification bar either at the top or bottom of the screen.

Delay: Select the time interval after which you want to display the notification bar once a site is loaded.

Button: Enable this option to add a CTA button to the notification bar. This will also further display the other Button options under the General Setting.

Button Label: Enter the CTA button label here.

Button URL: Enter the URL to which you want the CTA button to link to.

Open in New Tab: Enable this option to open the button URL in the new tab.

Add rel attribute nofollow: Enable this option to add “nofollow” attribute to the CTA button.

Add rel attribute sponsored: Enable this option to add the “sponsored” attribute to the CTA button.

Close Button: You can add a close button for closing the notification bar by enabling this option.

Timer: You can display a Timer for an event or a Timer for the cookie stored on the notification bar.

Date Based: Here you can pick the event date from the calendar and the timer displayed will represent the exact remaining time for the event.

Cookie Based: Under the Cookie Based option, you can set the time frame for which a cookie will be stored on the visitor’s website. The timer on the notification bar thus will represent the remaining time till the cookie will be stored from the first time the visitor opened a website.

When Cookie Based timer is enabled, the timer gets reset for every new visitor and the timer is independent of any previous visitors whose timer has already been started.

Expiration Event: You can enable this option to display the Hide Counter and Hide Notification Bar expiration event.

Hide Counter: Enable this option to hide the countdown timer after the event is expired.

Hide Notification Bar: Enable this option to hide the notification bar after the event is expired.

Visibility: Select the device where you want to make the notification bar visible.

Design Setting #

The following are the different settings provided under the Design Setting tab:

Background Color: You can select a background color for the notification bar here.

Typography: You can configure the typography settings for the notification text here.

Color: Select the text color for the notification text.

Countdown Color: Select the text color for the timer.

Label Typography: Configure the typography settings for the timer label here.

Timer Typography: Configure the typography settings for the timer count here.

Button Color: You can choose the initial and hover text color for the CTA button here.

Button Background Color: You can choose the initial and hover background color for the CTA button here.

Button Typography: Configure the typography settings for the button text via this option.

Border Radius: Configure radius of the button.

Close Button Color: Select the initial and hover color for the close button.
