With Rishi Theme, you can build any kind of websites you desire. But, in some cases, it might be missing the feature you are looking for or you want to make modifications to make some features work as you want.
So, in either case, you need to modify/make changes to the Rishi Theme‘s core files. We strongly recommend you install and activate the Rishi Child theme first. Using a child theme allows you to extend the functionalities or modify the Rishi Theme features without affecting the parent theme. The other benefit of using the child theme is that you are free to make any changes without any fear of breaking something in the parent theme.
You can download the Rishi Child Theme here and follow the below steps to install and activate.
- Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
- Click on Add New button and then Upload Theme button
- Choose the rishi-child.zip file that you have downloaded from above link and click on Install Now button
- After Installaion is complete, you can click on Activate
Now the child theme is activated you can make your required changes in the child theme.
Please note that, Rishi Theme is built using React. Having a good understanding and command in React will help you to understand the code and make the modification easily.
